Old San Juan piers put you beside the historic district. The Pan American piers are across the harbor in Isla Grande; select that terminal to add transfer time and a larger budget allowance.
Getting around
Explore Old San Juan on foot if the route suits your mobility. Cobblestones, slopes and exposed fort grounds mean this is not a step-free itinerary.
Make time for
Paseo de la Princesa offers a waterfront stroll. El Morro and San Cristóbal share a US$10 adult admission valid for 24 hours; ages 15 and under enter free. The National Park Service accepts card or contactless payments, not cash. Check current hours before visiting.

Castillo San Felipe del Morro
Explore the harbor-facing fort and its open esplanade.
75–120 minutes to visit
Uphill old-town approach, exposed lawn, ramps and stairs inside. Ask the park about suitable access. One US$10 adult pass covers both forts for 24 hours. The park is cashless: bring a credit card or contactless payment method. Ages 15 and under enter free.

Castillo San Cristóbal
A fort visit above the eastern edge of the old city.
60–90 minutes to visit
An uphill approach; steep ramps and stairs within the fort. Confirm the accessible entrance with the park. The US$10 adult pass also covers El Morro. The park is cashless: bring a credit card or contactless payment method. Ages 15 and under enter free.
